Rutherford Briant have acquired an exciting new role for an Outsourcing Management Accountant for a Top 40 Accountancy Practice based in Cambridge.

This role is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is autonomous but is also happy to work part of the team, demonstrates a strong level of verbal and written communication and has experience of working in Practice.

This opportunity can be full time or reduced hours (30 hours a week) by arrangement.  

As an Outsourcing Management Accountant, you will: 
 
  • Preparation of periodic management accounts for clients
  • Desktop review of client records, advising clients of corrections or updating client records as required.
  • Assisting clients with general accounting and cloud software queries.
  • Preparation of VAT returns as part of management accounts services.
  • Ability to advise clients on basic accounting queries.
  • Ad hoc administration tasks as required.
  • Demonstrate benefits of migration to cloud accounting software
  • Advise on improving efficiencies and best use of software.
  • Preparation of system reviews for consultancy services.
  • Data migration from existing accounting systems.
  • Training clients on cloud software.

As an Outsourcing Management Accountant, you will need:
 
  • Extensive experience using Xero.
  • Experience working in an accountancy practice.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Sound understanding of accounts preparation.
  • Be able to prioritise their time and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work alone, with clients and in a team – including keeping respective parties up to date with progress/issues etc.
  • A positive attitude and a problem-solving nature a must
  • AAT, ACCA, ACA, or QBE
  • Ability to drive and own or have access to a vehicle.
