Rutherford Briant are currently recruiting for an Accounts Technician for a long-standing firm based near St Ives. The firm are based in several towns across East Anglia and boasts a company made up of youthful, energetic trailblazers. They specialise in providing a comprehensive range of professional services to SME businesses and the owners behind them.
Salary: £22,000-£28,000
What you will do:
- Processing client records to draft accounts stage
- Completing file sections and cross-referencing schedules
- Completing work programs and administration paperwork
- Contact clients for information.
- Attending client’s premises and assisting on external audit when required
- Provide projections and forecasting information.
- Produce and analyse management information specific to the client requirements.
- The preparation of corporation tax returns and submission to HMRC
- The preparation of self-assessment tax returns
- Using tax software to produce returns and calculations.
- Awareness of tax planning strategies and changes in legislation
- Undertake general admin tasks.
What you will need:
- 2-3 years’ experience
- AAT qualified Ideally.
- good working knowledge of Excel and IT packages such as Xero and Sage
- Qualified by experience working within practice.
