Rutherford Briant are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a Top 40 Accountancy Practice in Diss. This is a great opportunity for someone Part AAT Qualified and/or Part ACA/ACCA Qualified looking for plenty of progression opportunities and to continue their studies with full study support.
There is a salary of between £22,000 - £28,000 on offer (dependent on experience and qualification) along with flexible working and many other benefits!
What you will do:
- Work alongside managers and senior staff with a good variety of client exposure.
- Prepare year-end statutory accounts and tax returns for companies, partnerships and sole traders.
- Prepare business and personal tax computations and returns.
- Work within budgets set at the planning stage.
- Develop good relationships with clients and maintain and up-to date understanding of their businesses.
- Achieve deadlines and communicate workload with senior members of staff.
- Other office adhoc duties
- Attend training courses to develop technical and personal skills.
What you will need:
- AAT Part Qualified and/or ACA/ACCA Part Qualified
- Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent)
- Strong technical skills in accounts production and preparation of tax returns
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills
