Are you an Internal Auditor within the Insurance sector, looking for an opportunity to utilise your skillset within a growing company and develop your skillset? A General Insurer are looking for a Senior Internal Auditor to join their tight knight, lean team and gain lots of exposure.

The business is going through a period of growth by acquisition currently which is bringing about some interesting audit areas and themes around this - something which isn't always available in a role. They also have a great flexible working policy meaning you can work from any of their UK offices 1 or 2 days a week. 

What you will do:
  • Own flow charts and process narratives relating to business processes and Controls.
  • Identify key risks to the business, and Internal Controls set to mitigate them, along with accurate and timely risk assessments.
  • Perform, and lead on, audit testing and fieldwork to evaluate Control effectiveness.
  • Lead on various audit themes from scoping to fieldwork to reporting stages.
  • Prepare audit reports that are clear, concise and consultative, with an ability to coach junior members of the team on these when needed.
  • Undertake Follow-Up reviews on agreed action points, providing assurance to the Audit & Risk Committee that prior agreed actions are implemented.

What you will need:
  • Relevant professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIA, CMIIA etc.)
  • Experience working within the Insurance sector, either within General Insurance, or the Lloyds markets
  • Ability to analyse financial and operational controls.
  • Knowledge of Risk Management
