You will predominantly be focusing on the audit and assurance work for your clients, however, there is also the chance to get involved with accounts preparation and tax computations too, offering you a more varied experience. You will get exposure to an eclectic range of organisations, including charities and financial services. Turnovers are typically from £20m - £40m (but go up to £400m).

Responsibilities
What you will do as an Audit Semi Senior:

 
  • Assist with the planning of moderate sized audit engagements and leading onsite teams.
  • Support on larger audits, completing allocated sections and assisting in-charge with conclusions.
  • Prepare accounts and draft tax computations.
  • Liaise with clients to resolve any queries, escalating more complex matters to the assignment leader.
  • Review team members’ work before passing completed file to appropriate assignment leader.
  • Start to coach and provide feedback to juniors on the quality of their work and performance.
    Start to control assignment time in line with pre-determined budget.

Requirements
What you will need as an Audit Semi Senior:

 
  • ACA/ACCA Part Qualified
  • Knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS 102
