I am currently working with a 7 Partner Firm with offices in Huntingdon that are seeking a Manager or Senior Manager within General Practice, salary is negotiable and dependent upon experience, but would likely be between £50,000 - £65,000. This is a strategic hire for the business and this person will be given every opportunity to progress to Director and/or Partner.

The Manager or Senior Manager will report directly to partners and the successful applicant will assist with the management of the office including supervision of technical and junior staff, providing excellent client service and have aspirations to either build a portfolio of fees of their own or assist in the development of the current partners’ portfolios. 

The ideal Manager or Senior Manager will be:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified
  • Have post-qualification experience in a Practice environment
  • Have a strong CPD record

Your key responsibilities as the Manager or Senior Manager will include:

  • Provide full accountancy services to a range of clients, particularly in the OMB sector. Basic personal and corporate tax knowledge required.
  • Managing workflow with in the office and support staff in meeting deadlines
  • Review files prepared by team members
  • Develop relationships with clients to support the practice/client relationships
  • Provide ideas for practice development, improving efficiency and the quality of the service we provide, including assisting with training other staff and getting involved in marketing activities.
  • Audit experience desirable but not essential, including supervision of field work and then reporting directly to a partner.
  • Knowledge of current accounting standards compulsory.
