I'm delighted to be working exclusively with an award winning, fast moving and collaborative business based in Ipswich, who are looking for inspiring and experienced Financial Controller to join their business.
Due to continued growth, you'll work closely with the SLT, leading & mentoring a fantastic finance team and owning the daily finance function.
The position is paying upto £70,000, fantastic benefits including BUPA, healthy pension plus many more!!!
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts, providing guidance and support to the finance team as required
- Oversee and assist with monthly reporting packs for investors
- Prepare the group’s annual statutory accounts
- Act as the primary point of contact for auditors, leading the annual audit process and investor due diligence audits
- Manage and develop a finance team of four, including workload planning around deadlines, holidays and study commitments, performance reviews, professional development, and quality control of work produced
- Serve as the main escalation point within the team for technical queries and support
- Process monthly payroll, including salary sacrifice arrangements, commission calculations and HMRC reporting
- Work closely with the finance team and in-house development team to drive system improvements and process efficiencies
- Produce ad-hoc management reports and financial analysis to support senior leadership decision-making
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a similar Financial Controller or senior finance role
- Professionally qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a team
