- Lead public sector external audit assignments from planning through to completion.
- Manage budgets, workflow and deadlines across a portfolio of audit engagements.
- Communicate with clients regularly, ensuring a high level of service throughout the audit process.
- Support, review and develop junior team members through guidance and feedback.
- Handle complex audit areas including risk assessment, group audits and first-year audit testing.
Requirements:
As an Audit Senior, you will need…
- ACA, ACCA, CIPFA or a similar professional qualification.
- Experience working in audit, ideally with exposure to public sector external audit.
- Strong knowledge of accounting and auditing standards, including public sector disclosure requirements.
- Confidence managing multiple assignments, budgets and client relationships.
- The ability to assess risk, lead audit meetings and deliver high-quality work to deadline.
