Rutherford Briant have an exciting new role for a Junior Bookkeeper to join a Top 100 Accountancy Practice in Spalding.

The reputable firm is looking for somebody who is hardworking and enthusiastic with an ambition to get into the accountancy profession. They are offering full training and support with clear pathways to progression for the right candidate. 

What you will do:

  • Prepare bookkeeping on Cloud packages including Xero and QuickBooks for a varied client base.
  • Post and allocate bank transactions and bank reconciliations.
  • Raise sales and purchase invoices.
  • Maintain receivables and payable lists.
  • Post regular journals for payroll
  • Prepare and review VAT returns and submit to HMRC.
  • Liaise with clients on any queries.
  • Liaise with more senior staff and the audit and accounts team.
  • Be flexible to work onsite at clients.

What you will need:
  • Experience with Bookkeeper is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to build relationships.
  • Ambitious and keen to get into accountancy.
  • The ability to work in a team.
  • Punctual and reliable
